St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - St. Louis Blues forward Paul Kariya underwent successful hip surgery on Tuesday and will be sidelined indefinitely. Kariya, 34, has played in only 11 contests this season, and not since a November 5 game against Anaheim. He has two goals and 15 points this season. In his 14th NHL season, and second with the Blues, Kariya has scored 384 career goals with 946 points in 914 games with Anaheim, Colorado, Nashville and St. Louis.

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - St. Louis Blues defenseman and captain Eric Brewer will be out indefinitely with a herniated disc in his back, the team announced Thursday. Brewer will undergo surgery Friday at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. The 29-year-old has recorded one goal and five assists in 28 games this season and has not played since December 11 against the Kings. In 10 seasons with the Islanders, Oilers and Blues, Brewer has 179 points in 623 games.

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues announced on Wednesday that defenseman Jay McKee will be out indefinitely with a fractured left ring finger. McKee suffered the injury in the third period of Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Calgary. In 30 games this season, the 31-year-old has one goal and one assist. Legace was hurt in the first period of Wednesday's game against Anaheim moments after allowing a goal. After George Parros scored for the Ducks, Anaheim's Ryan Carter skated through the crease and inadvertently clipped the left side of Legace's head with his right knee.
